Landing pages, sometimes called “squeeze pages,” are web pages designed exclusively for conversion. They are the foundation of great inbound marketing strategies. These pages literally serve as the location your prospects “land” on your website. If you are trying to generate new leads or sell products online, landing pages are the place to make that happen.

They are designed so the only thing a visitor can click on is the link you want them too. These landing pages increase conversion rates dramatically. So, this is a marketing tactic that we know works. Time and time again, landing pages have been proven to increase opt ins. And they’re cheap to implement.

We create two designs (for A/B testing) with the same offer (whatever you want to convert your target audience to do, give you their email addresses, make a purchase etc). The two designs are for something called A/B testing. Then we run a Facebook campaign targeting your desired audience.

Sometimes, you’ve just got to stop and admire a landing page for being beautiful. Using high-resolution photography and lots of white space, H.BLOOM’s landing page is a pleasure to look at. Besides its beauty, the page has some great conversions elements: an above-the-fold form, clear and concise description of what’ll happen when you fill out the form, and even the bright orange “Submit” button. The only thing we’d change up? The copy on the “Submit” button — that could be more specific to the offer at hand.

Rather than just hoping visitors will respond to your CTA, it actively works to drive visitors through the sales funnel and to the desired result. It just makes sense – improving conversion design will improve conversion rates.

Conversion design is a form of marketing that combines design principles with conversion psychology to guide the design of your website. From this combination, principles have been developed specifically to push conversion using the design of your website. Let’s take a look at those design principles.

Seven Design Principles

There are seven design principles used with conversion-centered design. The first four are design elements:

  1. Encapsulation
  2. Contrast and color
  3. Directional cues
  4. White space

And the last three are psychological elements:

  1. Urgency and scarcity
  2. Try before you buy
  3. Social proof
